mushrooms in the blacksby ~pixieface

Another concept art for Kaza Rhun - bioluminscent mushrooms. This would be the dwarves primary food crop - one food (besides hunting fish and such) that they can actually grow and don't have to import. The mushrooms being bioluminescent would make sense, since they grow in the blacks, where sunlight never touches anything. Glowing attracts creatures which might eat the mushrooms, and thus spread the species around.

First art I did for this project, and one of my favourite. Observe the subtle rock in the background, and the water! XD I enjoyed doing this, a great deal. Nor did it take long - though I painted this about a month ago (at least) so I forget exactly how long it took.

I have to admit, this is one of my favourite ones... glowing mushrooms = fundamentally awesome. XD

And I liked painting the water too, even though it's pretty subtle.

I like the fact you left some spot without colourig, just black. It helps the eye to find the central focus in the image. It really works for eyecandy

I like the mystical atmosphere in this one, the colours you used give the image an special feelings, and cover it with an special veil of mistery. Well done!
